Our Work
Five connected areas through which P4SEDI turns knowledge and partnership into practical development action.
Research
We support evidence generation, community-based inquiry, knowledge translation, advocacy and policy engagement. Research is not an end in itself; it should help communities and institutions understand problems and make better choices.
Environmental Conservation
We promote environmental awareness and practical stewardship, including climate resilience, ecosystem protection, sustainable waste practices and responses to pollution and degradation.
Natural Resources Governance
We support transparent, participatory and responsible approaches to natural-resource use. This includes community voice, accountability, rights and responsibilities around land, water, forests, minerals and other shared resources.
Livelihood Options
We explore and support sustainable livelihood pathways that can reduce vulnerability, strengthen resilience and help households adapt to environmental and economic pressures.
Gender & Inclusion
We encourage meaningful participation and equitable access to information, opportunities and decision-making, with attention to women, young people and groups whose voices may otherwise be overlooked.
Expertise applied across our thematic areas
P4SEDI provides research, advisory and consultancy support across its thematic areas. Our approach combines evidence, local knowledge, stakeholder engagement and practical social and environmental development thinking.
